The Cottage at Five Islands

Georgetown, ME

Sharing my Special Getaway

In 1986, my father Kenneth Joseph Kubicki was generously offered a beautiful oceanfront property in Maine by his long time friend, Bill Plummer. Kenneth had always loved the ocean. In fact, he was the top New England Sales Representative for Boston Whaler. Kenneth had a vision to turn the home into what we now know as “The Cottage at Five Islands”. With the help of our building and design contractor Glen Stella, Kenneth’s vision soon became a reality. The stunning fireplace within the heart of the home was built using imported bricks sourced from Plymouth Quarries in Hingham, MA. In years to follow, the artistic details of the cottage were completed by Kenneth's beloved wife, Carol.

In 2013, the Cottage at Five Islands was sold to their daughter, Christine. She is a designer by trade and has kept the thoughtfully modernized style and design incorporated in recent updates made to the home. The cottage has always been the treasured family summer home away from home for three generations. From the ocean breeze, walks on the beach at Ledgemere, the working wharf below, and the breathtaking sunsets, this property is a true treasure to be shared with our loved ones and guests.

The Cottage at Five Islands is the best kept secret on Maine’s Mid-Coast.

In addition, there are two adirondack chairs staged a top the cliff overlooking the Five Islands Lobster Company. The custom shell driveway is settled below the leisure area for quick access to a parked vehicle.

Five Island Lobster Company is a coveted local business that serves fresh caught lobster, seafood, and more.

Located at the end of Saddler’s Cove Lane is Harborside General Store. This owner operated dock also houses a boat fueling station that offers kayak rentals.

On Friday evenings, Harborside General Store hosts Oyster Night including live music!
